Got my Power Commander 5 intsalled on my M696 tonight and went ahead and tried to download a few maps from the power Commander database and their is none for my model of bike??? I checked for other models of the Ducatis and they had them...

Are there no maps available for the 696 from Power Commander?? Huh?

I was at the understanding that they had a few map configurations for the 696...hope I'm not wrong.... bang head

I notice on this page:

http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/powercommander_v.aspx?mk=5&mdl=289&yr=2009

there is an exe you can download. The exe unzips 2 files, pvm files, which I believe are Power Commander map files.

Here's how they list them:
  M14-001-000    Zero Map
M14-001-001    Stock exhaust, Stock air filter

Now, whether or not those are worth a damn, I don't know. But, they are there...

yeah i think we're going to have to supply the maps to them at first or build a database ourselves.

I agree Raux... Doesn't seem to be a lot of support from the manufacturers... might be a good idea to start some kind of data base...

I had completelt missed those maps on their site Chisel...thanks waytogo. The cd they send with the PC V didn't have the maps you had found on their site...

Anyone care to take a stab at what they have done with the second map? I'm assuming the map with the cells zeroed is the stock map??

Looks to me that they have richened the bottome end up slightly but the lean spots they have mapped seem strange??

ZERO MAP CYLINDER 1 (M14-001-000)

STOCK EXHAUST STOCK AIR FILTER (M14-001-001)

Yeah, I agree...I find it pretty peaky and I am hoping to smoothen out the powerband a little. Stock curve is great for hooligan riding at 5000-8000 RPM but putting through town is pretty finicky...

FWIW, I uploaded the second map and I seem to be getting a little surging @ 3000 RPM under 20% throttle. Cleans up @4000 RPM. I will try moving the numbers around and giving it another try if this damn rain ever stops.... Roll Eyes

2 more maps from the PC webpage.  http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/powercommander_v.aspx?mk=5&mdl=289&yr=2009

M14-001-502  European Model Termignoni race slip-ons (DbKiller removed) Stock or aftermarket air filter Stock ECU O2 Optimizers installed

M14-001-503  European Model Termignoni CE approved slip-ons (DbKiller installed) Stock or aftermarket air filter Stock ECU O2 Optimizers installed

Is there a map available to smooth out the below 4,000rpm roughness?  Would make commuting in the city more bearable.

Those maps indicate "Stock ECU"
Does that mean the stock factory ECU, or the DP ECU? I'm assuming that since I have the full Ducati Performance kit (Carbon Termi's, no dB killer, performance air filter) with the DP ECU that if I loaded a map intended for the stock ECU it will not correctly adjust the fuel trims... So where are the Dynojet maps designed for the DP ECU?

Or do I need to switch back to the stock ECU?
