I don't own a skinny jeans or hang out at the local coffee shop all day using the free WiFi (and ordering just one coffee)  to ride a bike like that.........

Spike in PDX

At first I thought that I didn't care about the looks, that the only thing that mattered was the function. Then I thought about how I used to power slide my BMW K1200RS out of corners, and wondered how those Firestone tires would like that sort of behavior. I ride like an idiot sometimes, butt I hate crashing, so I went back to the first thought.........
Good tires trump style and skinny genes every time!

That huge empty space under the seat looks weird. The rest of the bike is really nice, though.

That's where you put your spare helmet.

Agreed. If you're gonna take a dated tech machine and use some current tech like suspension, carb upgrades, etc, to improve performance (the whole point of a street racer) then why skimp on the tires? For the period look? Then get rid of the updated suspension, etc!

Not really talking about this bike specifically but of many "cafe" bikes I've seen.

Do chicken strips look better on modern tires?

I hear ya man but I refuse to allow hipster trash to steal what is bad ass without a fight. Like cafe racers and beards. The skinny jeans they can have.
