08 S4RS questions...

Got the bike all cleaned up, just under 12k miles. a few questions

so this bike has the full Termi set up, but at some point the "high flow filter" was replaced with a paper one.  K&N or what others do you recommend?

How do i tell when the chain and sprockets are ready to be replaced?

if they do need it, any gearing changes that make the S4RS better in your opinion?

K&N is a very similar filter to the DP filter that should be in there.

With regards to to chain and sprockets if the teeth on the sprockets look like shark fins then it's time for new ones. I replace the chain with new sprockets personally. The most common mod is whacking a 14 tooth front sprocket on so if you do a little searching here there are pages with different gearing options. Again check and see if you don't already have a 14 tooth front on there!

Or instead of going one down in the front you can go 3 up in the back. It cost a bit more but in my opinion the bigger sprocket looks better.. Thats my next mod
