Along the lines of TMI...

doing a butt cam prep. The only thing that makes it worth it is the Propofol. ;D

In "but OF COURSE this is happening now" news:  I have a friends wedding to get ready for and attend tomorrow and I just got slammed with work from both companies...and they both want it all ASAP.

At least I can push some of it off until Monday, but there goes my weekend.  :-\

Did a mowing job over the weekend with my new to me tractor. Things were going pretty good other than a little rough running, when all of a sudden it just stopped. Felt like it ran out of gas. Took the can and filled the tank, but the 4 gallons I had topped it off... hmmm... checked the points... remember points, and saw this

One side totally fried. Drove around and found a set. Installed them eyeballing the gap...no love.

This tractor has a fuel shut off solenoid to prevent dieseling. I pulled it out of the carb, and sure enough it wasn't retracting. So... what to do? Get out the side cutters and cut the plunger, of course. Got it running and called it a day. Went back Sunday and finished up, but it wasn't without drama. Brush hogging is hard on equipment Had fun, and made a few bucks.

I remember points type ignition. Not that I'm teaching anything new (hahaha), but the cover of a matchbook is 0.017", so that can be used to set gap.
