All I wanted to do was adjust my chain tension - need advice

So first I had to go out and buy a 24" long 1/2" breaker bar to loosen the pinch bolts on the eccentric. I did get them loose then carefully backed them off a little at at time. They did have what looked like molybdenum disulfide grease on them so I have no idea why they were so difficult to loosen. My fault it did not mention the 2007 S4RS in the details section - but it had a 2008. I figured they would probably be the same, evidently not the tool is too big and won't grab the eccentric.  Does anyone know the correct tool. I have a feeling this thing is going to be tough to turn so I need something that really fits well. Not sure why this thing is being so uncooperative any suggestions on the correct tool.

One more thing - since I was having trouble seeing what was going on I decided to remove the mini "chain guard" what a PITA. one of the little 8mm bolts was pretty easy (the one in the back) but the front one was a nightmare took almost 1/2 hour turning a little box end wrench a 1/4 turn at a time. Awesome design

I don't know why I didn't see the correct tool on corse dynamics. I will get back to them since when I ordered the incorrect tool there is a section of the order where I put the model and year of the bike. However I do think it was my fault as the 07 was not on the list in the details and I ordered it anyway

I have looked for how-tos on this, can't find anything very clear. Do you know which direction to turn the eccentric to tighten the chain?

Should be counter clock wise to tighten.

Usually it's rotate CCW as viewed from the left side of the bike to tighten.

Motowheels shanked it on both the description and details for the large unit.
It says it will fit S4Rs, and it will not fit.

I think I got the wrong one, too, for my 796.    I just haven't had time to do anything about it.

I found the bolts to be surprisingly tight on my S2R, as well.  The adjuster moved quite easily, however.  I have the motomfg adjuster and it works well.  (Unrelated: i have their sockets, too, and don't like them. I don't think the front axle alignment tool is necessary.)
