I'm sure this was answered on TOB, but I'll ask it here...

Does the stock and/or DP carbon seat cowl fit on the gel touring seat?  Specifically 2k7 695 if it matters...

On my '05 S2R
The DP C/F Cowl did not fit well with the DP Gel Seat.  When I did get it to fit, the cowl was so tweeked that it hit the grab rails upon lowering the seat.

IIRC there is a slight difference in the way the seat fits on an S*R bike versus a DSS bike.

I'm pretty sure if fits the DSS bikes no problem.

I know NAKID has the gel seat and a cowl. If I were you I'd pm him. He's pretty cool about sharing knowledge and FHE.

I have the cowl on my gel seat. It took some wrangling to get it on and I thought all was well.

Well, just recently, I was looking over my bike and noticed that the cowl is actually touching the grab rails and has wore the paint off down to the metal.

I'm not sure if some tweaking will help, but I'll probably give it a shot. I can't exactly take the cowl off now since I have a line of paint missing from each rail...

If you have read my post, it reads:

Where, pray tell, in your post did you specify that you have a Dark?

Thank you for the info regardless...

This is my experience too with the stock cowl. I don't use it anymore and don't miss it. My bike is black so it's not like it makes much difference to the look anyhow.

Hmmm... bummer.  My 695 is red, and looks a bit unbalanced, especially with the full tailectomy the previous owner did.  Guess I could paint the tank black  Evil
