I remember that mine was "sealed" I couldn't figure out how to open it. I could be wrong... but after looking at it, I didn't think it was meant to come apart. A new one costs $260. Not a big deal if you have your red key.

The newer gauges do come apart.

Take the screws out the back, remove the center piece, and remove the screw behind that (torx).

From there, your on your own.

It's not too hard.

While it is possible to open up the instrument cluster, the lens are sealed to the case. Spare parts for this unit are not available, only available as a complete item.

I'm sure once it's apart, the OP can figure out a way to McGiver something to fit. If not the OP, post up pics and may be we can help with ideas.

To the OP, just be careful not to break any of the electronics in the gauge.

As for what plastic to use, "I" would use acrylic.  I don't know if that would be the best choice, but it's readily available.  ???

I just noticed that my '07 S4rs tach lens has about a 3/4" crack from the edge towards the center.  The bike has never been dropped - etc. - just a faulty part.  So I've joined the club.
