So I decided to change the decor a bit as the wasp was getting a bit too gay... so we´ve gone for a cleaner, more sophisticated look.

Had a a 3 hour endurance race (night) in Albacete last saturday. Was a killer, the shadows play games with your mind once the time starts rolling along. We did 45minute sessions and I started my first Le Mans style race. make the beast with two backsing scary is all I´m gonna say. We finished 12th overall, my colleague´s 1098s lost 2 brake caliper bolts (!) and my anti lock clutch was playing silly buggers all night so I was around 6 seconds slower per lap.. over 94 laps. I wasn´t happy with the result but, we stayed alive and didn´t kill ourselves.

Here are some pics:

Good to see you back riding fully  waytogo

Like the cleaner lines also. Going day to night must take a lot of changing to get used to. Did you know the track well?

Night racing looks like fun.

How did he lose his caliper bolts? Forgot safety wire?

Looks like a blast!!  Evil

The shadows on the snow night skiing always psyched me out.  I can only begin to image what happens on a track going a lot faster.  Tongue

What are you running for racing skins?  My new 749 is destined to become a track queen Evil and haven't decided what race plastic to go with.

Rear sets? Are they adjustable?

Thanks!  Riding at night is weird, all your reference points tend to shift. I´ve only had a few laps with Bimota trying their bikes and I´ve had 1 trackday there (night), most of which was instructing novices so I haven´t had a chance to really push the bike at night until the race. I know the track a lot better now!

Dumbass doesn´t use threadlock.. none of my friends do, they think i´m crazy to do so. I´m just glad he didn´t crash because of this.

The shadows are a nightmare, really.. My race fairings are from www.ricambi-weiss.de in Germany. They cost 189EUR a full set including shipping from Germany to Spain. Good quality kit that fits perfectly the first time round with no adjustments.

The rear sets are SSR racing ones from the USA. They are adjustable on a eccentric adjuster for pretty much everything and have race shift pattern. The brake pedal is waaay too long.

The 749 is designed for the race track, I´ll vouch for that! I´m after a 749R now. That should be a REAL blast.
