Does anyone have any advice for a trans-Tasman freight forwarder or shipping company?.  I'm taking my little Monza to NZ for a few weeks in March next year for a rally.  I'm looking for a cheap and easy way to move it, crated, from Brisbane to Christchurch, and return. Anyone done this other than with the GetRouted option?  ;D

Thanks,  John

Betty

Haven't done it, sorry .... and get routed was going to be my suggestion. Like I said, haven't used them, it was the only mob I had heard of.

I did it a  bit different to most people.  I flew over to Auckland, stayed with a mate, bought a bike, then got him to sell it for me when I'd finished with it.  Lost a bit of money but similar cost to shipping I suppose.

All I can suggest is look through the back of some current Road Rider magazines or something.  They often have ads for this sort of stuff.
'02 M900ie, DP CF mufflers, DP mirrors, CF side covers, beer tray, belt covers, and sprocket cover, K&N filter, clear indicators, Speedymoto 5 spoke clutch cover, etc, etc, ad nauseum.

I did it a long time ago (1976 approx), There was a roll on roll off boat (cost $48 each way ;D).
Containers have probably killed that boat.

Dave Milligan is a great guy - he's shipped bikes both one way and return for several friends of mine and they've all been extremely happy with his work.
