Well after 2 months of being tucked up in the corner of the garage the Monster was back on the road today. A couple of hours on the trickle charger and the baby fired up on the first touch of the starter. A quick "slow" ride up and down McCarr Creek road and man it felt good.... Just need to get back into the swing of things but just like riding a bike really..... Off to the old Pacific Highway tomorrow morning at 8:00ish before I hit Mecca's at 11:00ish...... Ain't life grand on a Monster..... [moto]

yeah, I reckon the main advantage to the full face helmet is it stops people seeing that I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat!
I usually feel a bit empty after a ride - it's probably the endorphins subsiding.

I remember this time when I started riding that I blipped the throttle to downshift heading into a shopping strip and the engine revs set off a car alarm!
I was so frickin happy I cried.
It was pure child like joy! Yip-frickin-ee!
it was almost my most immature moment this year!...I told no one!

I hadn't ridden it for 2 months, got back from Oslo, and in the cool Canberra morning it started after 5 seconds of cranking. Awwww yeah!

Big T, Tricolore & Andy thanks for the little ride today - hope you all got home OK.
.... and sorry for slowing you down, geez you put some distance on me leaving the viewing platform.
Jukie is back home now, just waiting on a couple of things to arrive in the post (and a bit of polishing still to come).

I knew you couldn't wait - my bike and the friendly womenfolk of Norway must have triggered your right hand itch

Thanks for the company today. Good fun as always. I have to say I am blown away by the performance increase with the pipes, I really have to spend some time on the bike learning its behaviour again. Power wheelies are plentiful. . Acouple of blasts up the closed section really got the pulse racing...
