That one was a setup, so was the guy who flipped off the cop and got beat down.  The last one was great though!

The last one is ridiculous.  I have really mixed feelings about it.

Yes, she was being obnoxious, but it was a traffic stop, not a criminal action.  None of those things he listed (speeding, seatbelt, cracked windshield, brake light) is anything more than a traffic citation.

But I really don't know what the correct course of action would be.

It just nauseates me to see that kind of force used against someone who isn't threatening the officer.  Had she been threatening him, then find, blow her head off, but she was just being a stupid loudmouth pregnant dog.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

A traffic stop is technically an arrest. When you sign the ticket, you are being released on your own recognizance. So, technically, she was resisting arrest...

yes, but that's why i said "criminal".. procedures are totally different for criminal apprehension versus violations.

traffic cite is a violation, not a crime.

Eh, my pity is right around nil. When they're pointing a taser at me telling me to do something or they will tase me, I just take their word that they mean it.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

She was not compliant on just about everything he asked.

He needed to get control of the sitaution before it escalated into a bullet hole in his chest.

I would be outraged if she was co-operating and got tazed..as it is, I agree with:

From another perspective:

You're on the phone during a traffic stop, calling someone and telling them where you are.

How would that sound if you  were the LEO? I'd be concerned for who may show up, and with what. Time to put a stop to the situation.

And in other news-still damned funny! I want a taser!

Okay, but if you get one you can't use it on any friends (or animals) we know.

Frickin' snow!

No pity whatsoever. First off shut the door like I asked you to do, don't tell me my job, and get off of the cell phone while I'm talking to you. Oh, and shut the make the beast with two backs up!!!
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

That's right.  Only to be used on random strangers.

They love that sort of thing [laugh]
