That's right.  Only to be used on random strangers.

They love that sort of thing [laugh]
Why do I have the feeling that both you and Laura would have no issue with counting me as a random stranger in this case?

Okay, but if you get one you can't use it on any friends (or animals) we know.

I got a buddy who totally needs tasering  :)
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I heard you can fry bacon really fast with a taser.

The last one is ridiculous.  I have really mixed feelings about it.

Yes, she was being obnoxious, but it was a traffic stop, not a criminal action.  None of those things he listed (speeding, seatbelt, cracked windshield, brake light) is anything more than a traffic citation.

But I really don't know what the correct course of action would be.

It just nauseates me to see that kind of force used against someone who isn't threatening the officer.  Had she been threatening him, then find, blow her head off, but she was just being a stupid loudmouth pregnant dog.
he followed the proper by the book use of force escalation.
officer presence - didn't work
Verbal command -dind't work
Open hand contact - when he tried to pull her out of the vehicle she resisted
Impact weapon (baton) or incapacitating  Tazer/pepper spray - He chose the tazer and gave plenty of warnings.

i believe you, but it's troubling.

then again, what can you do in a situation like that?  i mean, if she was speeding (or at least if the officer reasonably believed she was) then he had the power to pull her over and cite her.  from there, i am IZ_ on the issue.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

What's IZ_ bout doing what the cop tells you to?

A civil person takes the citation, and fights in court, an asshole acts like that.
I have been in a similar situation before trying to pull a female acting just like that out of the car, when her brother first, charged at me from the other side of the car. Took him down with a dry stun, only to see her dad charging at me with an axe raised over his head.
He survived that encounter only because I already had my tazer in my hand. Took a chance and zapped him five feet from me.  All three of them spent time in jail.

Got Duc

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

a cop told my cousin to suck his dick or he'd arrest her after pulling her over for nothing.  he apparently spotted her coming out of a mall and thought she was hot.   she spent the night in jail.  cop finally got busted after about 20 women had complained.

i hear your and if you'd have plugged him in that situation, you'd have been in the right.

i am not saying that woman in the video wasn't dealt with properly -- it just knocks a bit.  if she had lunged at the pm, i wouldn't have any problem with it.  i guess that's the issue -- what a civil person would do.

fortunately, i don't do criminal law.  i would just hang everyone.

A reasonable person would know the difference. I understand where you're going, but it's just nothing like the case at hand. He never asked her to do anything remotely inappropriate...
