A few common words/phrases are DMF-specific and may require some explanation.
- "Beast with two backs" It means "f-u-c-k". If you don't change the filter in your profile, the board software automatically replaces the f-word with beast with two backs. For more background and how to turn off your filter, click HERE

- Toaster/Toasty -- On the Ducati Monster List (the predecessor to the DML), a toaster was created. It traveled the world, passed between forum members. Toasty's exploits were documented in a lengthy picture thread. Toasty attended races, events, weddings and traveled the globe. Toasty's travels continue. Click here for more info.
- derby -- A DMF member known for informing people when they r-e-p-o-s-t. The board software auto-filter replaces the world "r-e-p-o-s-t" with "derby." The real derby can be found here.
