Weekend Ride (Can you handle it?)

Yeah, I can handle it just fine, thank you.

The real question is, can YOU?!?

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Is there an updated status on this ride? Anything been decided? I get the feeling it may be a Sunday AM ride and maybe kinda sorta towards Hico but that's all I can tell. Any decisive feedback on this? I could use a ride this weekend. [moto]

If this one is anything like the ride I went on with them on Monday its a very nice run. I split off from the group in Glenrose to head home I think they kept going to Granbury or some such place. The roads are in very good shape (well except that one road!) and rather scenic for TX  Grin ...  If your looking for a ride Brian, this should be a good one for ya I am going to try and make it again.

Wish I was going on this ride - sounds like a great group & plan !  I'd rather be riding but instead I will be entertaining family from out of town.  Undecided

Sounds like a super ride y'all have scouted Tommy - hope you post up some others this Fall so I can make one!  waytogo

Sometimes my work schedule makes it easier for me to take a weekday ride - usually to East Tx - anybody with same schedule problem care to join in ?  If so I will post it up!  Grin

This is my proposal :
Meet at same Starbucks in Burleson as we did last Monday.  It's at the corner of 174 and 731.  Approx 1 mile from I-35w.  I say we meet there around 8:30am and kick stands up at 9:00am.  We will leave there and head east and go past AMS Alvaredo.  We will turn south on 157 and take this to Maypearl where we pick up 916.  Head west on 916 across I-35w through Grandview and Rio Vista all the way to 174.where we will head south and pick up 56 north going into Glenrose.  We will take 67 in Glenrose and head southwest to 51 north into Paluxy(technical and beautiful waytogo).  We will head north on 56 all the way up to 377.  Go east on 377 into Granbury, cross the lake and head south on 4.  halfway to Cleburne on 4 we will turn left and go north on 2331 into Godley.  We will take 2331 all the way to 1187 just south of Benbrook Lake.  Turn right on 1187 and go east to Old Granbury road.  Turn right, south on Old Granbury Rd all the way back to 917(bypassing the road constuction on 917 to Godley.  We will go east on 917 all the way to I-35w and north back to my casa...........or split off and go to yours.  Lots of eating places too.......

I have been on about 70% of this route and wanna say it looks amazing.  It is approx 185 miles for the complete loop.

Here is the map, if you blow it up, you will notice there are really nice sweeping sections and some very technical sections too!

I'm all for it, but (as usual) "working".

Looks like a great route!
