Proposing Saturday Evening, Sunday Morning or Sunday Evening...........lets hear your thoughts if you are interested.

Here is the map, if you blow it up, you will notice there are really nice sweeping sections and some very technical sections too!

Between Glenrose and Paluxy is insane!

184 miles round trip

Tommi,

Don't stop there.  Try 203 to Walnut Springs, then 927 to Iredell, 1238 and then 219 to Cransfills gap.  Then go crazy and head west on 22 to stretch the 1098's legs on 22 to Hamilton and 2005 to Goldthwaite.

Cransfill Gap and back is doable in a day.  Goldthwaite and back is a long day.  These are the same roads that can be taken if y'all want to go to Fredericksburg via the back roads to San Saba and Llano.

Unfortunately I'm OOT this weekend then again the next and also the next weekend after that.

My childhood was typical; summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard really.

I like the idea of starting at AMS Alvaredo on Saturday so we can check it out, but Sunday would work for me as well...

I should be up to speed after Track Day Thursday Grin

Well...AMS closes at 4 on Sat, so that may be out. Like I said, I am easy. I would be down for a Sat afternoon loop AND a Sunday morning loop

BTW - I drove past AMS yesterday and went down 157 to 916 back to I-35 to check out the first leg of the loop.........holy shit.......I think they made that road for motorcycles.  157 is smooth and wide and I got dizzy on it there were so many curves.  All curves are posted with signs, and you can see around damn near every corner.  It was like 40 miles of pure delight.......except the Montero didn't like the corners as much as the scooter would.

I can probably meet up by 3pm Saturday (or later), or anytime on Sunday.......optimal would be Sunday morning, less traffic means faster rides  [moto]
