It also looks like there is no udder?  I like the rims too.  I would like to see the SSS, it looks multi/916ish.

prolly straight off the HyperM...bolt on to the 1100

also, that quality picture in one of the links looks like a poor photo chop. i think i can see the left side of the DSS behind the wheel...

The one is the picture shows a dry clutch cover...

Multistrada and sportclass 1000 (the newer ones atleast) are wet clutch DS1000s.... >:(

Still not a fan. The "vents" in the tank and the chopped up frame just turn me off. The SSS makes it a little better though. Oh well, to each their own.

Yup, but that is a DS1100, same as the HMT which is dry clutched....

I have spoken with someone who was at the ducati factory last week and he asked if he could use his STM dryclutch on the new monster (which he ordered already) and the man at the factory said no
And the same guy saw the new monster and it had a wet clutch

can't be a hyper swingarm, the shock mounts differently, and i can see the yellow spring in the left side shot...

it makes sense the 1100 would be a dry clutch and again as people have noted you can tell by the clutch cover (unless that's a really poor image and we are being fooled).
Also, I would imagine the swingarm could make the wheelbase a bit longer if they wanted to dial that it like that.

A note about the breather vents. it makes some really cool sounds. can't imigaine waht a heavy breathing 1100 would sound like... just awesome i bet.

The cats are part of the stock exhausts just like the 696. nice packaging, can't believe anyone ever thought the udders were cool.

all in all, you guys get your SSS and the 1100 gets better handling.

also, for you guys that don't seem to fit the bike, just replace the rear sets and move it around a bit, wouldn't that give you more leg room?

Replace them with what? Has anyone even made rearsets for them yet? Besides the likely outrageously priced DP sets?

Are you serious?  It's one of the smoothest, most linear engines I've ridden and puts out a ton of power for an air-cooled 2-valver.  What did you think was lacking from it?

It puts out less than the 1000.
