Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room.

I rode a 1100 Hypermotard and was not impreesed w/ the 1100 engine.

Are you serious?  It's one of the smoothest, most linear engines I've ridden and puts out a ton of power for an air-cooled 2-valver.  What did you think was lacking from it?

not sure if you guys looked further but look what someone did

I saw that as well when I kept reading the UK posters wanting white w/ gold wheels.   I'm thinking red with gold wheels or even dark but the white with gold looks pretty hot as is.  wish the guy had used the termi can from a 696 though.  It's probably closer to what will actually be produced.

2005 S2R -- Mods installed: DP termi full racing kit, ST4 Forks, S4R rear shock, 999 Radial Brake and Clutch MCs, 4 pot Brembo Calipers, 320mm Snowflake rotors, SBK Quick change carrier, 43T rear sproket, Tomaselli Clip Ons, Cyclecat Frame Sliders, ASV Levers, zero indicators, Supernova taillight

do you think the bike is physically bigger than the 696 (makes sense to be) or is it another midget carrier  ???
......... I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and I am what some people call mentally retarded.

All the mosnters (except 696) are the same size on paper. I beg to differ, S-series monsers are longer than the 695, ive never actually took a measurement, but im pretty sure it is.

As for the m1100......the front looks exactly the same. so i assume the rear will be just as much longer as an S2R is to a 695. though that swingarm is more of the SBK/HM variety.

MotoCreations

No 4V engine will go into this frameset from the factory.  There are a few clearance issues due to the new design.  (Friend in Germany is building one and is cursing as he is doing it due to all the modifications required)

Positive though -- hopefully that will inspire some quality engineering from the aftermarket folks to build some new 2V engine internals ala camshafts, bigger pistons, etc.

[thread drift] BoomTubes for the M1100?  Guaranteed. (mine will be first though!) 696 is scheduled upcoming with two different iterations.  No more comment until then! [end thread drift]

Why would they post different wheelbases for the different Monsters? What's to gain? The 696 is 10mm longer, although it's construction makes it look smaller...

nothing to gain, but atleast they could write the specs down. if you look at the specs on the 695 and S2R bikes, it looks like a copy paste aside from the money making differences (brakes, hp etc)
