yeah i stared the ride. and realized that i was out classed. Spent the first 30 minutes trying to keep up. As a 2 week new rider i felt i should make the decision to turn around and go at a slower pace.  looks like you all had fun.  nice to have met you few guys.  till next time...

Guf, that's the smartest thing you can do.  First off, when I started riding with the people on this board I was told to ride my own ride.  Meaning, even if your 5 min behind everyone else it's ok, do the ride at your pace.  They can wait.  After a while you'll get faster, but take it at your own pace and have fun.  That's how alot of new riders go down, is trying to keep up.  They're either really focused on the other rider's lines or riding faster than their skills can compensate for.  The 696 is an awesome bike, take er easy, if you want to ride in two weeks let me know, have finals this weekend but following weekend I'm clear.  Did you get boots/textile pants yet?

2 weeks ! Wow...
What he said. Riding with others is a whole other skill you will pick up. It can get really dynamic and confusing sometimes. If you wouldn't mind me making a suggestion, get some classes under your belt and some practice, other wise it can get expensive.   cheeky  get really comfortable with your machine before going out on rides with a bunch of folks.

This groups is really a great bunch of super nice people. Everyone will be around when you're ready. People wait. Don't worry about that.

The Duc is on a timeout (need to save the tires for an upcoming trackday  Grin) but I got my Mean Streak power cruiser. I've been known to haul the mail on it Evil and was thinking of the coast run we didn't do last week. so if ya are looking for something to do let me know. Rich is off hunting so I have no sweeper, tho we really didn't need one last week!  waytogo

Hey Orangettes! How's it going? Glad you barged in. That was a blast!
Everyone, meet Orangettes from So Cal. Our latest transplant. Black Monster, faaaaast Monster.

We've got to hook up with the rest of these guys and do it again.
Not going to happen for me this weekend though. I got warning lights I've got to figure out  Angry
(Computer says, 'Fan Relay warning.' Hopefully a small thing, and a quick fix. Italy is open again, it's Sept.)

Soon, we ride again! Mert is up for it too.
