Not liking the induction noise from the open airbox that's directed straight at me, thinking of going to pods, any recommendations out there?
If anybody can help with part numbers, would like to try and source them in OZ as I am a bit of a tight a$$ and want to save on freight and the aussie dollar against the greenback ain't what it was.

Thanks
Andrew

If you don't like the induction noise from an open air box DO NOT go with pods - it only gets louder.

Really? I have ridden quite a few ducs, (though those were carbed models) that had pods and they definitely were not as loud (to the rider) as my open airbox.

Musta been something wrong with the bike, or maybe pods were really small and pointed in  differnet direction.

The sound is really low and gruntty, so it acoustics plays a big role in how you hear it. But the way the S2R800 places the TPO pod kit, it is very very loud. Much louder than stock airbox, but not quite as low gruntty. Maybe your hearing is busted and you cant hear the tone the pods make?  laughingdp

well...one was a 900 darmah and the other was a full house 750 sport bored out to 905 with enormo keihin carbs, and no nothing wrong with either of them so obviously they must point in a different direction than on the monster, the challenge I suppose then is to get them to point in a different direction, thanks for the feedback all.

on my m900, the pods are much louder than the open airbox. but to me, it's musical.   Cheesy

for me the pods are kind of a pressure thing, if that makes any sense, if you crack the throttle hard it feels sorta like being in a car with a huge bass system, you kind of hear the bass, but you really feel it, like a pressure on your ears...does that make any sense?
