90 degree air valves on older wheels

i have a 96 SS that I want to put 90 deg valves on the wheels (Brembo 3 spoke, same as Monster).

I bought a set of Ariete, and they are too short -- the part with the threads and nut that fits into the hole on the wheel comes to the surface, but no threads come thru!  WTF?

Can anyone suggest a 90 deg valve that will fit these wheels? The Ariete valves are too short.

I bought some ariete ones as well...  I havn't tried to fit em yet, I was waiting till the next tyres go on.
youv'e got  me worried now!    I was told that these were for brembo, and mine are the same as yours

the part number on the packaging is;  54-119-71K

is that the same as yours

yeah, ariete only makes two versions, 8.3 and 11.x mm diameter and then the colors. 

there are several different brembo wheels.  these have a slight "platform" on the outside part and i think that's the problem.  i have another brembo wheel and it doesn't have it.  the difference is the first wheel has the valve on the centerline of the wheel and the latter has it off center.

You've got something weird going on. We have several 3 spoke wheels with those right stems installed. We've been selling these since 1999 with no problems.
The Ariete valve stem's base is 12mm long...I've never seen a wheel that was 1/2 inch thick.

If your wheel is that thick, I'd cut in a recess area to fit a valve stem. All the 3 spoke wheels here already have a recessed area.

the date code on the wheel is 9-97 so it's not original, but it looks just like the wheel on my other bike with a 5-95 date code.

with the Ariete valve in place, pressing as hard as I can on it. 

The angle is misleading, it looks like there is 2+ threads over the edge.  the tip barely comes over the edge and I can't get the nut to engage at all.
