ciao a tutti -

we are about a month away from LDD2008 (oct. 12th) ... and i am wondering out loud here if the DMF is working on getting the monster challenge set up for the event.

would be great to get as many monsters at LDD2008 as possible, and have the DMF hold a monster challenge, with judges and prizes.

i know for a fact that lucazuma will be attending this year, as he is staying at my casa ... and he has advised there should be quite a few so cal monster owners making the ride up to LDD2008 ... so, the whole nor cal so cal "who has the coolest monster" challenge will be ready to be settled.

whoever here on the ducati MOB is managing the monster challenge, please pipe up with any updates, so we will know the event is going to happen.

a presto,
johnc

p.s.: if nobody steps up, this is YOUR chance to be in the spotlight and get a cool event going ... this could be your 15 minutes of fame that andy promised all of us.

I replaced all the old zip ties with new zip ties and some spiffy electrical tape.  I'm toooootally ready for the Monster Challenge.

why little challenged lady, that gets you the staring role of "monster challenge event coordinator"
</game_show_host>

grazie belle ... i was really hoping that you would volunteer.  you have supreme power to coordinate the monster challenge, which means:
  • you get to promote the monster challenge to monster owners
  • line up judges (as many or as few as you want ... after all, you volunteered, so you get to run it)
  • figure out how many awards/prizes you want to have, and line up prizes for the winners (which could be only YOU ... see volunteering has its perks)

a presto,
johjnc

you might just win the most unique monster ... as one rarely sees a stock one, except on a dealership floor.  waytogo

I can barely get myself coordinated to get out of bed in the morning these days.  Trust me, no one wants me organizing anything.   laughingdp

Hey, I'll coordinate...

Scrawl a sign with Monster Challenge written on it...
Kinda corral folks into a general area...
Make sure that people who enter think about washing their bikes and putting fresh duct tape on everything...
Let them know I that my vote CAN be bought...
Heck yeah, I can do that...   laughingdp

I'm a 40-42 in Dainese.  I also like carbon fiber.  As sole "decider" of who wins the event, yes, you have a chance depending on how deep your pockets are.
