Rode a new Hypermotard S home an hour ago. I can't tell you how good it felt to own a Duc again. Nothing like it. The R6 didn't fill the void.

You mean the thing where a bunch of people show up and get tailchops/oil changes/food and then leave without bothering to kick in a few bucks to cover the cost of aluminium, oil, or food?
Seriously, a few of the people I had never heard of and never heard/saw them again. Weird. Nick, Tom, and I all got kinda taken advantage of on that one. But...it was fun to have 10 plus Monsters getting worked on at the same time.
I think I'll spend my money on mods. The exhaust is actually fairly loud for stock. I already have a seat on order, so next up is the mounting kit for a damper.

Man, that bike is the best one that Ducati makes IMO ('sedici excluded). If I weren't dirt poor, I would be having one of them right now.

Got to ride it a bit today. I was worried about how it would be on the freeway. It was weird. At 85-90 no wind buffeting at all. Like the front fender setup spit it or something. Totally comfortable. An offramp I use to take at about 50 felt comfy at 80. The bike just goes where you point it. I can't wait until I get the suspension dialed.

I was literally SHOCKED at how good that suspension is. I took a demo ride on a bike with 8 miles on it, did 13 miles through glendale and brought it back with the tires worn to the edges - without trying! You just tip it into the corner and it feels so planted and secure and holds a line so well that you would think you were on autopilot. I LOVE that bike.

Isn't that a "girls" bike with those tiny wheels?

Having had it for a week now I would have to say it's more fun they the other 4 ducs I have owned. Amazing brakes....or should I say brake? I haven't touched the rear yet. Heaps of power. Total hooligan bike.

Yeah, what He said.
Anyway, "Beach Boy", calm down, I was just poking fun at ya. Why should my
M600 take all the heat for being a "girly" bike?
Oh, that's right--I am a girl!
Congrats on the new ride . Have fun and keep us posted.
