I think Hayden will do great at Ducati, he likes a family kind of team and that is what Ducati provide.
And as he says a few times in that interview he is looking forward to being part of a team again.
Not just the other bloke who rides the bike.
I think his style will suit Ducati, he has always been very agressive with his bikes and that is what the Ducati seems to need.

I like Nicky, but really what a make the beast with two backsing waste of a bike...  Nicky won the title in 06 because everyone else lost it...   He has been in MotoGP for what 4?? years and Laguna (2) aside what other races has he won??  Only one I think...   He is an under achiever and should be on the SBK...

Don't get me going on about that twat Gibernau....  Sheesh........ Huh?

since 1949 there's been 11 people who have one only 1 title, including stoner and 13 multiple winners.  24 out of how many really, really good riders that have ridden at that level.

go back and none of them since gardner have actually won it convincingly - hayden won because rossi didn't, roberts won because no one else did, creville won because doohan crashed out, schwantz won because rainey and doohan crashed.

sete came second 2 or 3 times, just like max.  like aaron slight in superbike, they're never going to win tho, just because.  i can't see pedrosa ever winning now either, really.

i thought the same about hayden until it became so bloody obvious he was being screwed over royally by the spanish armada in his own team! alberto puig (spanish) his team manager lumbered hayden with all the testing duties of new parts, remember that useless clutch? while pedrosa (spanish) was given everything that worked first. add to that repsol (oh yeah, spanish) refused to say/do anything when pedrosa' brain fade caused a T-bone on his own team mate!!! and he still won the title. adversity comes from all corners i suppose, but it really looked to me from the outside looking in that his own team was engineering his failure for pedrosa to succeed.
i don't think he'll ever be a champion either, and gibernau? what a hambone! he is such a wanker, he fell ass backwards onto the best machinery after whoever was riding it got injured early in his career and did stuff all with it, he had one good year on the movistar honda rc211v and was mind make the beast with two backsed by rossi soon after. Being the grandson of the founder of bultaco and spanish has advantages, but he's nowhere near the complete package, and i don't think he ever was.

There has been many a knowledgeable commentator that has noted the Honda team has some strange ways of giving out the go fast bits, you want the good bits, you have to go faster, Hayden was screaming at the team earlier this year for the New Pneumatic engine, there somewhat strange response was "Improve your performance, you will get the new engine"  (granted, the first time Nicky tried it in testing he didn't like the way it reacted to his throttle inputs, but with tweaking by the test riders they sorted it out and in testing he grew to like it's increased performance and power)

There test rider said the engine was better, his team mate said it was better, but no, until you get in the top 5, you don't get the new engine. yet Pedrosa was given the new engine without even asking for it, is it any wonder Hayden came out and pregnant doged about the team restricting his chances, a few well placed public comments, and suddenly he was given the engine.

He has said on a few occasions that he has struggled with the logic of the new team owners, they withhold new parts and upgrades that will assist in going faster, when he asks why, same response, you go faster, you will get new parts yet Pedrosa gets the Bits without a single Comment.

And let's not even get started on the shit heaps that are the Michelin tyres.

It's official, heard it this morning, Nicky will be in red next year.
Let's hope he gets it up the pointy end so Casey and Ducati can have two sets of reliable data.
Can't wait to see him taming that GP9.
