ARGGHHH!!! I can't stand it any longer, the waiting is killing me!

Okay folks, so most of you know that Cierra is preggers and is due in a bit. Well my wife is also due, um two days ago . . . so the suspense is killing me. If she doesn't hurry up and go into labor Cierra and Mo are gonna beat us to it. Hmm, and you all know that the older kid in the DMF is gonna be cooler, right? Anyways, the suspense is killing me, and I also am not allowed to go off and ride for a few hours to kill some time b/c I can't hear me phone ring, and on vibrate it practically gives me heart attack in my left chest pocket.

Any ideas on helping it along? Realistically here, I don't want him (yes it is a boy) to come until he is ready, but come on the suspense is really getting to be too much.

Cierra can add more pertinent information, but I an trying to sell jumping jacks to her.

Yeah I suggested jumping jacks too, she didn't go for it though, its strange I can't think why.
Umm, we are thinking as natural as possible, but she wants meds, so I don't know what you call that in normal talk (I only know med talk), Anyways we don't want to go Caesarean if we don't have too, but she doesn'y like pain, not a wuss, but still not interested in feeling ALL of the pain.

We have been doing a lot of walking, but that is getting really hard b/c she says he is REALLY low down now, so it could be any time now . . . or not . . . it could also be a few days. In reality if it goes too long we will have end up inducing, not something we really like, but sometimes they won't come, and my wife is not tiny, but she is also not a large woman either.

Everything the birthing classes we took indicate the body knows much better when its ready then a Dr. who has 27 other patients to deal with in his shift.  Personally, and unless there is a "real" medical reason not too, I would wait till her body is ready.  Of course, this assumes the baby is in the correct position within her.

Additionally, I believe more (a very high percentage) of first time mothers are late (I think the average is actually 2 weeks).

Hang in there man, her body knows what its doing.  Females have been doing this for a very long time.

Woody, breathe man. Hug your wife, tell her you love her. She's very uncomfortable and needs your love now more than ever. The baby knows when to come. Typically due dates can have a range of 2-3 weeks, so mama and baby will probably be ok for quite some time. Keep in mind, with a medically induced induction her chances of "needing" a c-section go up quite a bit. For safety purposes, hospitals perform this procedure at the slightest indication that something is not going as planned. Make sure she's drinking plenty of fluids and eating a lot of protein during this time, that will help a lot.

You'll be ok dude, baby and moma will be fine. They know what to do.

You need to LOVE your wife and FILL her with LOVE and it triggers contractions/birth.
