Bike info: 2001 M750 (that's the carb'd one)

So my bike sits for a few months while I'm out of the country, I get back, and dammit the carbs are all gunked up. I tear the carbs apart and clean then up good, and the thing starts like a dream. Check everything out, and it's all good, except for the tach. The needle is dead as a doornail. The lights, etc in the tach work fine, but I'm assuming there's some kind of ground problem with the tach. Does anyone know where the connections are for this? Or has anyone seen this problem before and have any suggestions?

Full disclosure: it's been doing this for several months now, but I'm frustrated enough with it to try to do something about it.

Thanks.

On the ignition module for the vertical cylinder.

like howie said, the ignition modules, locate them and follow the wires down, you might just have a loose/dirty connection or you might have a crapped out tach...

good to see you made it over chris  waytogo
