I was just browsing through Borders website and came across a DVD box set of the complete first season of Fraggle Rock!  How entertaining would it be if they came out with more box set seasons of our favorite childhood shows!!  Rainbow Brite, Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man and She-Ra, JEM!

Now I just look like a dork, but seriously, I would much rather buy the awesome old shows we grew up with rather than let my (future) kids watch the crap cartoons and kid shows that are out now.

I was just thinking about this show the other day.   I aggree that cartoons and kids shows suck today compared to when I grew up.  Not a lot of substance in them.

At ages 3 & 6 right now, my kids only like watching the Boomerang channel, which has all the old school cartoons.  The Perils of Penelope Pitstop is their current favorite, behind that comes Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry.

That said, it's funny you mention Jane and the Dragon and Bob the Builder together, those are the only two newer cartoons my kids will watch.

I think current kids tv needs more puppets. I think that would make it better.
