What's your machine, grinders, roaster, tamper, beans etc etc

You know the drill.... so my setup:

Machine: ECM Giotto, currenty running a 22g backet  :o
Grinder: Gaggia MDF - not all that happy with it, but it's OK.
Roaster: Currently Rio Coffee, Adelaide (until Paul, Alex etc at Mecca get it sorted)
Tamper: who knows, generic 58mm flat based
Beans: Mecca's house roast

Been fighting the overwhelming urge to buy a machine.
When I get one it's all over.
I'd never leave the house.

If I was to become housebound what grinder and machine should I get?

Depends on your budget.

I would think a Sunbeam paul bassett grinder and a Rancilio Silvia would be more than a decent start. I would think you'd be set up with that (inc accessories) for under $1k.

International roast tastes heaps better than some of the coffee coming out of espresso machines around Sydney

Machine: Bezzera BZ99S (14g single basket)
Grinder: Mini Mazzer - The best!

Beans: Morgans and Don Adam (Sometimes Danes)

I would also love a lever pull Electra one day as well!

At work I have a trusty old Sunbeam that has no steaming power so I have to microwave the milk co:: But it still tastes fine  :)

Jeez Super, I must be a bbit more up-market than you,

Nescafe, boiling water from the old kettle, and lots of milk.

Or as I like to say, 'Hot black coffee with cold white milk'.
