Hey all

I've decided to put my monster up for sale as I just don't get to ride it as often as I planned

As some of u know, I get to ride ducatis as part of my job, so the s4rs is just sitting dormant for most of the time, and  whilst I may regret it in the long run,  I'm leaning towards getting myself a nice track bike and just riding the work bikes on the road....

Here's the details

Ducati s4rs 2006 immac cond(black)
Just clicked over 8000km on the sunday ride-December rego
Service history, all books and keys
Full termignoni system with shortened carbon fibre mufflers
Dp carbon rear hugger
Gilles tooling rear sets
Speedy Moto top triple
Crg rc2 shorty levers
Apex 3" riser clip ons
Comp werkes fender eliminator
Speedy Moto half life clutch cover
Mpl pressure plate
Cnc racing slave cylinder
Evr sprocket cover
Rizoma sport line grips
Rizoma reservoirs and mounts
Rizoma reverse retro mirrors and bar ends
Cox racing radiator guards
Corse dynamics Regulator relocation and crankcase breather mod
Lowered headlight mount and gauges
All bare parts professionally powder coated black

I've owned it for 6 months, and I am the 2nd owner. I bought the bike as stock( bar the exhaust) and done all the mods myself. Bike basically presents as new and is in phenomenal condition . I really love this bike, but just think with the little time I do on my own bike, I'm better off getting a sbk to ride occasionally  and track when I can.

I'd like 17k, and will probably just keep it if I can't get what I'm after, as its not an urgent sale, just think its probably the sensible thing to do right now...

Any enquiries just send me a pm with your email and I can send some pics, as I don't have my photobucket details right now

I will be putting the bike on bike sales in the next week, but thought I'd give ozmo members the opportunity beforehand

Cheers

Damo

No need to be sorry, I guess I am more sorry that people only seem to want to steal things from you.
It might be parted out soon and just sold off as a stock machine for $10k cause that's people seem to want to pay.

in all seriousness with any motorcycle sales

mods add near zero value

your bike has some clicks on the dial so you will take a hit

strip it and return it to stock , you will get fair market value for your extras and
sell the stock bike for a fair price and come close to what you would hope for

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Stripping it is such a pain in the ass, I'd also have to chase a few things to make it happen.

Anyhow we'll see what happens. No rush but I am just bored of it really.  Roll Eyes

Damo,

Had you'd posted a couple of weeks earlier I might have just been enticed. I ended up buying a sweet 1098s with just a few less km's as I just couldn't find a S4Rs I liked.

Good luck with it.

Cheers,

John

Those people looking for service manuals might find what they're after on the Brisbane Motorcycles eBay store.
http://stores.ebay.com.au/brisbanemotorcyclesbrisbane

I'm doing this for the forum members and in no way are affiliated with the store. In fact the guys that I dealt with at Brisbane Motorcycles when I purchased my S4R new from them were a bunch of lairs and bill$hit artists.

How hard did you you look John.
I know mine might have a few k's but it's not a 1-2 year old bike either.

Hope you enjoy the 1098s

cheers

Hi. I’m Troy McClure. You may remember me from such self-help tapes as “Smoke Yourself Thin” and “Get Some Confidence, Stupid!”

I try to keep as many as I can. The hassle of trying to sell something gives me the shits, specially when you put something up for a great price and they still wanna knock you down. If they can't see a bargain when one comes up I wont sell to them on principle. I've had my nose reattached a few times  laughingdp

I've only sold one before Max and it was the same thing, put it up for a good price with decent bling and get knocked about.
Then 6 months after it's sold the buyer comes back to me saying oh man I wish I would have bought it with all the gear on it cause it's cost me 3 times more to buy the same stuff for it new.

As to weather John liked my bike enough, that's not what it's really about my bike is about k's. People seem to run when they see a bike with 42,000 k's on the clock that is 6 or so years old. I mean really if it's that old and has 5k's it hasn't really been used or appreciated it's just been adorned as a trophy. Mine is no trophy bike it's been but I guess I am feeling that now.

Rant over, carry on.
