Rant over, carry on.

Hey Matty don't despair.
It's only been on the market for 8 weeks.
I have sold dozens of cars and bikes over the years,
last year took 6 months to sell the sons Subaru WRX, nothing just a few low ball inquires, then had 2 guys wanting one weekend first one with a deposit got it, we were in no hurry to sell it,and got top dollar as it was a first rate car.
My Business partner also sold his  supercharged 2002 statesman last year, 10 months basically no interest, then one guy came up from the south coast an bought it.

Your bike is a highly modded bike and can be a deterant for some even though we all know it has a good history.
Like selling WRX'S modded ones are harder to sell , people think they have been thrashed and not cared for, which is fairly true in most cases
lol.

Imo if your serious about selling and want to sell it sooner than later.
Remove the big ticket items, seat ,slipper, triples, levers, pill bottles ,
And put it it back to stock as much as you can, bug screen side covers.
leave the zaust, that will sell it , the rest wont,

Will put it in a cheaper price bracket ,lot more people with less money than more Wink

Or you can wait for mister right, that could be tomorrow or next year, with rego and insurance ticking away? Undecided

On another note don't sell it, we need you to add some normality here, and keep Teff under control lol

Act 1, scene 7,

fade in:

Thanks Rob, I know Melvin took more than some time to sell his bike and it went to an owner who has continued here with us.
As I said before I stripped back the 620, all but pipes and a few little things which wasn't a really big deal.
Doing the same for this bike would take much longer, I have little interest in doing that for this bike.

I wouldn't say it's heavily modified, it's cosmetic really. The engine hasn't been touched, the brakes haven't been touched aside from upgraded rotors. None of us really modify these bikes, unlike Suzy or Sydmonster aka Chris and his very heavily modded 600/900
I know it's a more difficult bike to sell, but what annoys me more is people thinking that a bike must be thrashed or crappy because it has a few k's on it.

My Harley took over four months to sell, there will always be someone out there, being the seller though puts you in a different frame of mind, more than likely a negative one.
A mate of mine lives on acreage down Mansfield way, had his house on the market for over a year. Changed agents a couple of times, he was ready to rip down the sign and tell his agent to piss off. Next thing you know, a Swedish couple walked through it in less than 30 minutes, made him an offer that was to his liking, deal done.............!
I'd leave it as it is Matty and keep plugging away..................that is, except for the Shift Tech hugger, I don't like mine "mate"   xoxoxoxoxo

Mills and Boon chapter 8  Cheesy

Sorry Matty poor choice of words Undecided

How is, Bristling with top shelf carbon fibre and Bllet components, which make this Monster stand out from the rest.?

The Testastretta 4 valve engine is a race proven, over engineered engine built for the rigors of the race track.
with only a mere 40K on the clock this Bike is barley run in,used only for the odd Sunday cruise around the Burbs and a few back blocks  Dolph

Ps, i want commission if that sells it  Grin

Sold my bosses Subaru in less than a week for 25k, $2500 off asking, no bother not my $$$.  laughingdp

http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/subaru-outback-2009-14810345?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=1&eapi=2&__N=1246%201252%201247%201282%204294963801%204294962372%20898%201216%20937&num=15&silo=Stock&Range=Price%3a25000%2c30000~0.5&sort=default

I did however buy my SV1000s for 6k and let it go 2 years on for 4.5k took the best part of 5 months to sell.
So much bang for so little buck. Sad

Buyer now owns 03 SV1000s in silver (was mine), an 03 SV1000s burnt orange and an 07 SV1000s in Black, takes all types, there is someone for every bike.

Stay strong Matty.

  Hey Matty.
Why don't you mothball it and forget it for twenty years, bring it out and give it a blast you will love it. It would be just like riding it for the first time all over again !  Ask me if I regret selling my various bevels twenty + years ago, nah no regrets at all.

Like sands through the hour glass........

"These are the Days of Our Ducatis"

Scene opens,

Matty sitting at his computer wondering if he should or if he shouldn't, enter the OzMo tribe (digitally) offering many solutions and tales of sales.
Wondering if it might ever happen, knowing that it's not the best time of year to sell cause it's cold outside and we are all whips who ride with heated grips and balaclavas.
He persists with his desire to sell even though it may mean a protracted dance.

Thanks for the words Rob they may well come in handy for the re-write in spring.

Rendang, I can't afford moth balls.

How hard did you you look John.
I know mine might have a few k's but it's not a 1-2 year old bike either.

Hope you enjoy the 1098s

cheers
Matty...

No disrespect Matty,

I saw your bike on the road one morning and its bloody beautiful. I was looking at upgrading my Monster and would have loved another black Monster in a S4RS. I'm in the same boat as you and blinged out my M400 and now trying to sell it. Only takes one interested person mate. Time may not be of the essence though due to rego/insurance I know.

All the best with it mate.

Cheers,

John
