Gday cabron

Whilst I'm still a few months off being officially 'allowed' to ride a bike like yours, I have been looking ATM as I plan to upgrade to an S4RS once I'm off my restrictions, so thought I'll throw in some input re ur pricing etc...

There are 2 on eBay ATM which have termi's and are going for around $14k, one of them having just 2k on it... No bids on either, but they are pretty fresh

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DUCATI-MONSTER-S4RS-2007-/120858937938?
pt=AU_Motorcycles&hash=item1c23c10a52#ht_500wt_922

The guys on bikesales want a lot more for theirs (range from $16-19k)but they have been for sale for quite a while with no luck, and are probably a bit optimistic.

After scrolling through a few forums, it seems that most buyers would expect around 1/3 of the price discount from a comparable bike with a clear title, although opinions vary and some wouldn't touch it for anything less than half price.

Just out of interest, what happened to your bike to write it off? It looks great! What sort of figure were u thinking of putting on bikesales?

Hey carbon

Sorry mate not familiar with the fleabag term? Was that an auto correct or something? Wink

Anyhow I'm still a fair way off actually buying a bike yet, still got 9 months left on the 620 and wouldn't even consider riding s4rs on my p's...not worth the risk. So I won't be checkin any out just yet... But I'm hoping some deals like that will be around when I'm looking.

Good luck with the sale mate

For Sale Price Drop
K&N Pod/Barrel filters #1750
Like new with only one weeks use.
$40 the pair, plus postage.

I can't throw in steak knives or an abdominal machine but I will throw in tuning/jetting advice and "tech support" from dyno testing the pods. Cheesy

My tip, if you're a young lair and want to run pods, then consider this mod.
Separate the air box from the battery box, buy a Shorai or Motolab battery, fit the pods, put s tiny K&N on the breather box and tune and you have just lost 6-7 kgs from high on the bike, tidied up under the tank and made servicing the carbs a whole lot easier.
Just fitting pods and removing the air box removes 2kgs.

PM if you like.

Hey  Duke8,

If there's a clean S4RS for 14k grab it !!
That's a great deal

Don't know full history, however believe it was low sided at low speed with under 1k on the clock and damaged headlight??, scratched tank/ exhaust / clutch cover but mainly the instrument cluster.... Which caused the write off. All damage professionally repaired/ painted. Cluster replaced with brand new standard S4 and new key & ecu to match.

Only mark on the entire bike is a slight scratch on the right rear indicator and on the exhaust from original damage which shows how lightly it went down... Exhaust you have to look closely to see.

As mentioned, it still had that running in smell as gaskets seat when I got it.

Looking to understand what it worth, however would have thought $13k+. Have to see condition to appreciate.
Good luck with your search....worth looking at the one on on ebay, sounds to good to be true... And why fleabay (eBay)... Yes iPhone auto correct

Cabron

Hey mate. Dunno if it helps but I recently sold a 2007 1098s in perfect condition with 7,000 original kms on it for $15,000. It was a repairable write off that I had repaired using genuine parts. Going rate was about $21,000 ish. No one wanted to part with the dollars to buy a previously damaged Ducati. Jap bikes, yeah. Ducati owners are paying a premium for different reasons but most of them centre around prestige exotica type dreams.

I do wish you luck but if you don't want to give it away for a steal, you might be sitting on it for a while, which sounds like it is not going to be a problem for you.

For sale - SOLD

High mount staintune cans from my 620. Immaculate condition, I believe they are about 18 months old. No scratches that I can see( they are still on the bike, so I haven't checked them out thoroughly yet).

Should fit 600/750/900/s4 monsters but check out staintunes website if in doubt. Going for around $1400.00 new, asking $400 obo...

Also have some rizoma dynamic mirrors, these are in fantastic condition, just not the look I wanted. Wil let these go for $100 obo...(sold)

These will go on eBay in the next few days if noone here is interested.

Pm me if interested and I can send some pics...

P.s I'm in Sydney, and would prefer pickup, but may ship at buyers expense.

Cheers

They had a sale on Termi's, with some (alleged) markdown in prices of up to 90%....

Oh, and the also had these awesome shoes on sale... highly recommended purchase!

Doesn't look all that much different to the big brother.....
But those boots..... Rod...... I know you like'em and we all have things that we like.

Pipes look like a good deal, I think I read $900 for some 848 pipes. Not bad cause I think they were closer to double and a bit for them RRP.

Hi,

Some more things from the attic.

Givi Top box and mount to suit Ducati Monster S4. I never used this but believe they actually put a light in the rear to connect to the stop light for extra visibility. I don't have the bolts to bolt it on, believe it just uses some standard ones

After $390 ono Pick up only (Dundas NSW) please
