Just an update : I found all the bits I needed at www.eurobrit.com.au.

Hi All,

I have a 93 Monster that gets carby icing in Winter. This was fixed in the 95 models and onwards. There used to be carb. heating kits for them does anyone know if these are available in Australia?

Cheers,

Nathan

What you will need Nathan is two fuel bowls and the hose kit which you should be able to get from a wreckers somewhere like Metropolitan. The kit has a tap which can feed the hot oil through your carbs instead of going to the oil cooler.

Good luck

Is anyone interested in doing a SBK fork upgrade?

I have the following:

  • '05 Ducati 53mm Showa Forks Gold TiN SBK 999 forks that I was planning on installing on my M900, 65mm caliper spacing

  • Carbon Fibre S4RS front fender to suit 999 forks

  • 5mm shims for rotors

Happy to consider sale as whole or in separate.
taking up too much room so make me an offer!

Hi All,

In luei of a carburetor heating kit for a '93 Monster I am after a set of carbies from a Monster 1995 to 1999. I believe there compatible with the '93 Monster. The Keihin flatsides are a bit pricey and apparently are problematic.

Nathan

There are a number of Yamaha models that ran these carbs, early TDM's, FZ750 and FZR 1000's. Might give you some more options in the hunt.

Got a line on some Termi's from Rob at Flywheels in Sydney.
They are from a customer of the shop. Apparently opened only to check all fittings are present.
Never been fitted, sorry I have no photos as they are not in mine.

So pipes are: Termi Carbon High Mounts - $1250

Hey, I'm Sydney based and just wondering if any members have some stock right side (S2R 800) parts they want to sell off, namely:

- Mirror
- 'bar end
- Hand brake lever
- Clutch case cover (wet)
- Foot brake lever
- Pillion peg
- Rear indicator

This is sounding expensive so I'll probably end up going thru' insurance but thought it's worth asking you guys first.

Cheers

Sounds like some thing I did recently. Angry

Genuine front brake leaver $167, Indicator $42, foot peg $45, rear brake leaver $130.

Sorry for the bad news.

Yeah, thanks Rob - I sort of figured around that.

Had a car turn in front of me. Managed to avoid the car but "buried" the bike in the process. Good thing is I bounced back up like an 18 year old  waytogo Just can't bring myself to go downstairs and look at the bike this morning though  Cry

Hey Wayne, did the driver hang around or just piss off and leave you with a damaged bike.
Sorry to hear about it.

Thanks Jukie, good to see you're back to your high jinks.

Yeah Matty she stopped & we swapped info. but I don't know if that helps - I'll see what QBE say. I'm flat out at work at the moment but I guess I have to make time to ride the bike over to Frasers to get a quote or whatever.
