Why would you put a fishing rod on a trailered bike?
to impress the ladies?

To fool you, did it work?

The double sprocket was Vincent's version of a quick change sprocket carrier

the sprockets were different sizes

just flip the wheel around to change the gearing

Thanks for that info.  That is just too cool.  Now I want a Vincent.  I mean, how much can they really be in decent condition?  $30 big ones?  $40?

If every member sent me just $10 or $20 . . .  Grin

Here's an article from last year...

http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=4923

Sounds like in '07 clean examples were going for 25-30k Pounds Sterling.  Someone else will have to look up the current exchange rate, because I'm too lazy to do so...  cheeky

Hey, don't turn this thread about Pacific City, my B&B and a Vincent sighting into a baby thread.  vomit

Very cool, you know my boy will want to hit that in about 13 years.

You in the states, or in some foreign land?
