Damn it!

I was planning on getting mine painted 848 pearl white with black decals and a nude carbon stripe next year - now it will look like I'm trying to be a 'new' model.

oh, shite....it even has a black stripe going down the tank.....arrrrraagghhh

they stole my ideas!

Matty - back me up - I thought of it first!  bang head

They have stolen your thunder Spider.
I knew what you were planning.
Maybe you could use some retro decals to set it apart.

[massive threadjack continued....]

or I was thinking Matty, and I value your eye (your missus says that she likes the other bits - but I like your eye!) perhaps the pearl white, with the black Ducati and a red 992 underneath it but a red detail strip between the white and the carbon showing through on the centre of the cowl, tank and fairing?

I think the look is going to grow on people. Let's face it, there is nothing left that they could do to the classic Monster. It was time for a new design and I think they have done a good job on it.

Just wait until you start to see some with a little bling. I think they will look great.

But for me being 6"2 I think it will be a little to small. I am hoping the 1098 Fighter rumors are true.

Nothing like the sound of a Ducati!

Just reading they are not going to produce a 1098 Monster. Instead they are looking at expressions of interest to make a naked version of the 1098.

Happy I bought what I have.

This means the current S4R and S4RS are the last superbike monsters to be made glad I got one.

I'm sure the prices of second hand S4r's would skyrocket at that news if current models were discontinued....

Had a look and I thinks it's not too bad. waytogo

Might be a bit premature but has anyone heard anything about a price yet?
I guess I'll probably be thinking about a change again in a year or two.  Funny, it always seems to happen around MotoGP time... Grin

Yeah I think he may have given it a bit of a touch up in those shots from the tank mounted camera.
Seems like the scenery is moving a little fast.  Huh? Huh?

Sound doesn't correspond either.

Pricing is rumored to be 12000$ in the US for the standard version.
