CDC sighting today on 121.  I had the luxury of witnessing some awesome HeRo on the highway.  This pic was taken just seconds before he started Lane Splitting!

Is that Charles for a fact? Just have never seen him wear a backpack before and can't tell if that's really his helmet. Never known him to lane split either. Especially after chastising Slag and myself for unsafe speeding on the Indian Nation Turnpike! [moto] I assume you said something to him so you know it's him. Chain guard looks like the one on his SPS. Wait a minute, knowing how fast he rides that pic must have been taken with him going twice your travel speed. Hope you were driving safely when you took your cell phone pics! laughingdp

It was definitely CDC!  Here he was arriving at the party some time later...

The pack threw me off too, but I'm pretty sure that's his bike.

edit: Well, Jim cleared up all doubt....

He's now known as "backpack Chuck."  laughingdp

On our way home from the party, CDC passed us on Airport freeway.  Let's just say I sped up to 85 and he was still walking away from us.  Can't say that I witnessed any lane-splitting, but I don't think he was driving OVER the cars ahead of him.  Wink  It only took about 30 seconds for him to be totally out of sight.

Hey Tracy, thanks for the pic and the wave.  I wish I knew it was you, I would have waved back.  And BTW, for the record, what you witnessed were a succession of multiple lane changes but in fast forward mode.    Grin

Back pack today because the bike has zero storage.

Hope to see you and Mark at next Thursday's Westie dinner, downtown Fort Worth maybe.

The bike is possessed.  That's my story and I am sticking to it.

did not see that.  usually that merge section of the hiway and the section beyond that is where a lot of cars are going at different speeds and wanting to change lanes so I am looking at my lane and cars around me so I don't get caught in the melee.

I didn't think you saw it but I thought I would check. It scares me to see that !!!!!  But honestly I like to watch it, just NOT on the highway!

Actually I read that there is no law prohibiting nor encouraging lane splitting/sharing in Texas. I would guess they would still write you for careless/wreckless driving.
