I just bought an 04 S4R and I am looking for a local shop that is good and charges fair prices.  For some reason this has been hard for me to find in LA.  Del Amo is right around the corner but I have had bad experiences with them in the past and they are a complete rip off.  I need tires asap so your help would be great.  Thanks so much in advance.

Yeah, if you've got 2 months to wait, he's a good one.  If you want your bike done this millenium, go to Nick.

*not that Scotty isn't awesome, 'cause he is.  It's just that he's not a very well-kept secret anymore and he's busy as hell and does everything himself, up to and including answering the phone (well, he does have that cat).

moral of the story, go to Nick.  :)

Do you just need tires or do you need someone to change them for you?

It's nowhere near LA but I always go to Cycle Rider in Ontario for tires. And every time I do the guy at the counter tells me I should tighten the bolts on my brake disk.  [roll] A lot of shops will mount the tires for free if you bring them just the wheels and tire.

The end is in sight! Gotta buckle down and get to work!

Well, 120 miles goes really quickly with the low-grade meth you can pick up while you're in Ontario, so it doesn't seem so bad.

Dude, as far as I'm concerned, everything east of East L.A. might as well be Texas.  It seriously looks and feels exactly the same in claremont as it does in Plano, TX.
