Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I'm working w/ a very slow computer and don't have a week to wait for this stupid machine to go through 17 pages of postings.  Can anyone help me w/ removing the black plastic canister to the left of the oil cooler on my S2R?  There are a couple of lines that run out of it and I remember one of the guys at Nichols saying that they remove these canisters all the time, no big deal.  I don't want to damage anything by removing it, but it would really clean up the left front of the motor by getting rid of it.  Any help or link would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Blake

Here you go:  http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=2514.0

It's in a slightly different location on your S2r than the pics in that thread, but it's exactly the same process.

Good little articles.  It really is that easy.  As far as plugging the nipples on the intakes, I used about $3.50 worth of parts from Auto Zone and had it done in about 20 minutes.  Good luck with the surgery.
