and it's getting really frustrating...

You should only have to log in once.

we did a fresh install of the software to try and actually fix the nav issue.

Hehe, it might as well be.

The problem here (if anyone cares) is that we use two pieces of software, SMF - the main forum core and Tiny Portal, the sidebar, Bomb, front page stuff.  Tiny Portal, while great in functionality has had some compatibility issues with the newer version of SMF and after looking at the codebase, I'm not impressed.

What this means is that I have to go in and make manual edits to the files to get everything back to normal.  I plan on doing it tonight, but it may have to wait til later on in the week.
