Live to Ride, Ride to Live

Okay, this has been brewing for awhile now.  I'm dying to know the saddle king or queen for SoCo DOG this year.  Smitch put some respectable numbers this year.  I know DuckRider is constantly on the highway.  I'm way down from last year.  Just curious to find out who our iron butt champ is this year.  Even though Bonfy is an associate DOG we'll include her in the mix as I think half of her miles were here in Colorado this year.  Post your Duc numbers and (if you ride more than one) your total numbers.  My bet is on J_Slyter who I believe has criss-crossed the West twice this year.  Of course, like me, some of that was on Bavarian steel!   cheeky

I've got 3498 on mine right now, and will add 250 or so to that this weekend. That's since I took delivery in late February.  I rarely ride to work, gotta take my boy to daycare in the mornings.  Not saying I'm up for the prize, but...how ya like me now, haters!

Not sure how accurate this stat is anymore, but I once heard that the average motorcycle owner in this country rides 3,000 miles a year.  I'm ahead of the curve!

Well, most of mine was on Bavarian steel. I love my Duc, but when I'm looking forward to 4000 miles over 11 days, I'll take the RT every time. My son can attest to that as after the 4000 miles on his Yamaha FZ1 which has a similar seating position as my Duc, he said never again on that bike (and he is only 23). ,

So, lets see...the easy part is I got new rubber for the RT on June 11th and I just checked the odo and I have almost exactly 7000 since the new tires went on. My annual spring ride May 1-4th consisted of about 1400-1500 miles so, just guess-timating, I'd say from May 1 to June 11th I probably put about 2K on the RT. So I'll call my start date May 1st for this little excercise.

9K on the RT
~2K on the Duc (based on purchase date, I've averaged about 2500 miles/yr on it)
500 on the ZX10

So about 11.5K from May 1st till now.

Like I said I'm down this year.

1825 on the Duc + 2972 on the GT = 4797.   Tongue  I'm trailing Smitch bad in the Duc miles.   Cry

I need another couple good rides to break 5k this year.

Hey!  Thanks for including me in your mileage contest!  I will gladly accept an honorary title if my mileage is noteworthy, but a SoCo Dog should hold the official title.  applause  I had a blast riding with you all.  At least a fourth of my miles have been put on in Colorado, but my trips to Arizona, Utah, and South Dakota helped drive the miles up there.  My miles from January to August were 13,326.  I picked up my repaired bike from WannaDucBad last weekend so can now finish out the year strong (hopefully).   I'm at 13, 670 right now.   [moto]

S'Okay, if I had two bikes, I'd keep them off the Duc and ride the other one more too.  waytogo  Unless they were both Ducs...
