2007 S2R800

« on: October 03, 2008, 11:09:27 PM »

I'm hoping to buy the CF Arrows for my S2R in the near future.  I've seen some listed with stainless end caps and also with carbon endcaps.  I've seen plenty of pics of the carbon/stainless but I haven't seen any pictures of the carbon endcaps?  Does anyone have these or have a pic they can share?

Thanks!

Toby

Yeah actually I saw those just after I posted, but I guess I should be more specific to say I'm hoping for a pic of the arrow carbon pipes with carbon end caps for the s2r/s4r or other cylindrical pipes.  The 696 cans are ti and kind of conical with that flange on the end cap.  I think they looks great for the 696, but it doesn't really give me the image close enough for what they'd look like on my bike...

And of course Desmoworks is on my short list of shops to buy from, as is Ca-Cycleworks, who actually have the carbon/carbon pipes listed on their site waytogo
(but linked to a pic of the ti/stainless Undecided)

Ask Chris (I think that's his name at CA-Cycleworks) to post a pic.

The S/R bikes only come carbon with stainless caps...... you can also get Ti cans with stainless caps that have removeable baffles but no carbon caps.

I have the Carbon/ stainless ones on my 6 S2R1K & I also have a spare set of endcaps with baffles...... been meaning to install them but I'm too lazy to drill out the rivets on the stock ones laughingdp

This is correct; no carbon caps on the S2R/S4R setups.

That's interesting, I guess I stand corrected too... I have 2 Arrow distributors and neither of them have those listed. That is the first time I've ever seen an S2R with carbon end caps. Arrow does have them listed on their site though. I wonder when they became available.

How long have you had your system?

Oooh, sexy bike Danno!  Thanks for the pic!  It looks like the carbon caps are a bit rounder and a bit longer than the stainless caps...  eeenteresting...

Gus Duc: so you're saying you CAN put baffles in the carby's?  But you need to drill out the stock cap and fit a different cap?  That's my biggest worry is the Arrow's will be too loud.  I'd rather have the carbon, but have been considering the Ti just for the removable baffles.

Thanks! Yes, they came with removable baffles.

I purchased the system back in April of this year.

Sorry about the picture problem on our site Toby, we are currently working on updating all of that! Check back in a week or so and we should have that fixed Smiley
