Login "forever" only works until I exit once

Most forums give you the ability to set things up so that when you get back on on the same computer, you're automatically logged in.  This one promises that, but doesn't deliver.

There is even a choice of "Forever" along with the choices of 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month.  At least on the top login.  The one in the middle of the first page just has "Minutes to stay logged in" and a separate box to check for "Always stat logged in:".

If I ever exit all windows and go to the site through http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org I always get the login screen again.  I've read hints about doing something with cookies, but I tried this on a fresh brower (I normally use Firefox, but tried Netscape), and it does the same thing.  There was no stale cookie to screw things up in that case.  Both browsers remember the login name and password, so I only have the minor inconvenience of clicking the Login button to get on.

It would be nice if someone would either figure out how to fix this issue, or remove the "forever" option so that I won't keep expecting it to work.

And I'm not complaining here, just trying to help make everything as perfect as possible

While the login page is being fixed, it might be wise to change the message that shows up in the Google search so that there is no doubt about what the forum is about.

I don't think we can change that.

The next time the bots do there search it will update.

..and we don't take the info as complaining in your first post.

We're trying...hopefully the maintenance will solve a lot of issues.

It's actually quoting exactly what I see on the login page.  Nothing's going to change unless a different message is the first thing you see on the login page.

Which part? I did a google search and the description said private forum in development which is what the header used to say.

The reason they are quoting the log in page was when google did their original crawl there was no access to the site itself.

Like I said I'm pretty sure it will change shortly.

Is anyone still working to fix this?
I think it's been fixed for a couple of months now.  I definitely don't have to log in anymore when I get back on.

Yeah this hasn't been an issue since we made the software switch.

Make sure your browser is accepting cookies, that's the only way this site (or any site) can recognize you as an existing user.  Also, if you constantly clear your cookies (as some people do), know that every time you do that, you will have to re-login (note that in IE these are called temporary internet files).
