That is a Hossack/Fior (Duolever) suspension, like used on the Britten Motorcycle, much more direct than conventional fork suspension.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I think this new take on the naked bike WAY better than the new Monsters. I won't be ditching my 'classic' monster for this one anytime soon, however.

Duck-Stew

Kinda dig it, but it reminds me of Bender from Futurama.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

To big of a discussion for the internet, dive is one better, more rigid than forks is another.  Better? Who knows?  BMW isn't using it on the super bike they will be releasing soon.   Cool new name ;D

If you take off all the goofy RE3 garbage and replace that seat (what is that? velvet?), it's a bad a$$ machine. Not for everyone, but still bonkers nonetheless.

The new K1300S looks pretty sweet as well.  The front end does look like an old-ish GSX-R though.

But the K1300R is cool, I like it.  Very unique.

I didn't realize that this was available on the HP2S - I stand corrected.

The BMW press release quote:  "For the first time in the history of large-scale motorcycle production by BMW and, indeed, for the first time in series production worldwide, the rider of the K 1300 S is able to shift up with the help of the optional HP Gearshift Assistant without operating the clutch and, accordingly, without the slightest interruption of traction and pulling force. To perform this operation the ignition and fuel supply are interrupted for fractions of a second in the shift process."

For awhile I was debating the installation of a DynoJet quick-shifter on my Monster.  (it would plug right into the Power Commander)  Maybe I should just upgrade to a K1300 instead...   [laugh]
The quickshifter on my HP2 Sport was one of the coolest things on the bike. Holding the gas open and clicking up the gears is a really nice feeling.

I know 2 K1200R and 1 K1200S owners here in Madrid.. the 1200S has had it's share of warranty issues but remains an extremely rapid bike. The naked R models are just ridiculously rapid, the new 1300 is going to be hilarious I guess.

I'll just have to try one out!
