Sorry if this is a derby but I did a search and couldn't find anything.  Ducati has posted some information about some of the stuff they are presenting at the Cologne show.  Besides the M1100, they are showing off the new edition of the GT1000 called the GT1000 Touring... see below

I dig it, but I'd have to sit on one before I bought.  Being 6'4" with an abnormally long torso I have a hard time finding bikes with windshields that are actually functional for me  :).  It seems like a classy, no BS, everyday motorcycle.   [thumbsup]

Dont like it.

But that doesn't mean you cant.

I like it, but I'd still want more luggage and fuel to tour on. Oh, and it should be red.  ;D

NAKID

It has a luggage rack on the back. Looks like there's considerable room for luggage...

i think if it had panniers available too that would be cool. maybe the tank could be a gallon larger also for touring.

I demoed a GT1000 with a windscreen and saddlebags when the Duc truck came to my local dealer and really liked, a lot. This bike looks like a regular GT1000 that Ducati just added DP parts that are already available in the catalog for the GT1000. I chose a Multistrada instead of the GT1000 simply because the Multistrada was a better deal when the suspension upgrades and a windscreen were factored into the price. Maybe in a few years a gently used GT1000 will come my way, but I wouldn't pay full retail for one.

Without a bigger tank i think it is worthless for touring.  Stopping every 125miles on a comfy touring bike?  No thanks!

hopefuly, my next bike.
none the less, I agree it's not a real tourer. heck, I'm not a real tourer myself either.
