new to Ducati 1st post

Picked up my pw696 a month ago after my Suz M109R was destroyed by a cager in a POS ford tempo who made the left turn in front of me ZERO time to react  t-boned between passenger doors.( catapulting yourself off the bike b4 impact much easier then i thought ) flew about 30 feet, separated a rib, bruised kidney, left shoulder never be the same again and still pulling glass and gravel out of my left forearm after 2 months. i have been lurking reading on this site for a month thought id say hi. Not surprised to see what appears to be a bunch of knowledgeable relatively nice people on this board. must be a Ducati thing. Looking foreward to possibly meeting and riding with you west coasters. By the way Pearl White is the fastest color.

Welcome, glad your made it though the crash ok, and congrats on the 696... but we all know the Black Ducatis are the fastest ;D

Welcome to the board. M696 is a terrific bike. You will see a huge difference from the Suzuki.

The Suz was an absolute torque monster but there was nothing technical about riding it the 696 however is well it is what it is. I am more than satisfied with it. That running on one cylinder thing sucked but all is well now.

Welcome to the club.  Nice bike.  Mine's red.  This group here is a big proponent for ATGATT (all the gear, all the time).  Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is, ATGATT will greatly minimize "pulling glass and gravel out ... after 2 months".

BTW, red Ducatis are blazing hot and fast!

Pearl white is the fastest color....you are correct.....

you just have the wrong engine. 999 Rs FTW [drink]
