If BP burned all of his DML shirts, he wouldn't have anything to wear.  Trust me, you don't want to see him naked.   Grin

I liked the DML

I want to like this place as much
but it's not happening
and that is mainly due to watching a group of people who I thought highly of
devolve
into trolls and assholes
I feel strongly that the attack on the DML should cease
and the attack on the sponsorship should cease

I hear you mother. Being upset about a situation is one thing - but trying to instill ill feelings in others by appealing to nationalism is another thing entirely (i.e. constant Canadian bashing). Given that we're supposed to be members of an international community, I think it would have been more productive to focus on the actions of VS, and not on the nation in which it is based.

That having been said, I STILL think Chipos video of DML headquarters is hilarious, & should be mandatory viewing.  ;:|

I guess, as in all things, there is a line... and some people probably crossed it, both in terms of Canadian bashing, and with contacting sponsors.

I think this board will be made all the stronger once people devote their energies to bikes, mods, and the very occasional-politically-correct boobie thread.

Cheers all.  be::

my .02

i'm over it. it's dead to me.  I lurk a bit now to satisfy my trainwreck curiosity, but that's it.  if it were up to me, there would be a TOB sub board here, cause truth be told I'm kinda wishing we could just move on and stop clogging GMF and NMC.  I have my family here, that's all that matters waytogo

Thanks Mother. I had the same thoughts and kept quiet. I resolved to just not read any threads over there so I wouldn't be irritated.

I agree with posting ones grievences. Once. And then move on.

I don't think it's necessary to chime in on each and every thread about a different forum. It's not necessary to harass the sponsors.

In the end, any business/group/community should be free to evolve. If we don't like it, we should be free to leave.

Lobbing shit over the fense on our way out though, taints the valid decision to leave and will likely turn others off from following.

Let's move forward and make the DMF a positive experience for new and old.

For some reason I still haven't been banned (maybe b/c I'm Canadian cheeky)  despite having posted a few links to the DMF and trying to PM a few DML'ers who haven't showed up here yet.  I spent an hour or so reading today's DML posts.

Now that private messaging is banned, it bothers me that I can no longer contact people who are still active on that board other than through a post that I can only hope they will stumble upon.  But I guess I'll just have to deal with VS's totalitarian style.  I've moved on.

Tonight over there I witnessed some arguing between remaining DML board contributors and a few familiar names from this board who continue to troll.  It was a bit embarrassing.  It was personal and juvenile.  Letting it degenerate into an us  vs. them pissing match is only going to reflect badly on our new board and drive potential converts further away from here.

We had some fun for a few days but now it's time to buck up and act like adults people.

<Pompous  ass hat off>
