I don't mean commercial breaks they are useful
i mean when they show you a few episodes of a new season then  have a break for summer or winter or whatever.
Then its not on because of holidays or football games  or elections or other unimportant stuff Grin
This year they have the writers strike as an excuse for more or longer interuptions.
Battlestar Galactica is having a 9 month break between part 1 of season 4 and part 2 of season 4.
Its a TV show not a child ffs.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. Even worse is when they constantly bounce the show's schedule so you can't figure out what time it's on, then they cancel citing low rating.

I've given up on network TV.

I can tell you that the networks have lost a lot of my interest over the writers strike. They were in the process of developing stronger line ups with decent shows. Then they stopped everything and reality tv took over. Now I don't watch half as much tv.... thanks writers guild for giving me back my life. BTW everytime a union goes on strike they lose me as a customer, I still don't watch Hockey, and I loved it... apparently I'm not the only one. It just seems there would be better ways to bargain than to kill the goose that is laying the golden eggs. Nobody wins that way.  Roll Eyes But that seems to be the union way.

I'm watching the new stuff on Discovery Channel.

I'm ok with the wait for BSG. It's the wait for new stuff on Adult Swim that bothers me more.

Engineering an Empire
Modern Marvels
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
Mega Movers
Holmes on Homes (get your mind out of the gutter - he fixes homes that contractors make the beast with two backsed up)
(and that other show that features really huge projects like the bridge in Charleston, the tallest skyscraper, the airport in the Orient that they had to truck in dirt to make the damn island!)

these shows are cool!!

Networks must think we're morons.  They replay previews of their shows over and over, til you HAVE to change the channel.  Yeah, I know they're drumming it into our heads - but more than twice an hour is insulting our intelligence.  Same goes for the smae commercials over and over.  (Unfortunately we can blame the high ratings of Jerry Springer and such for teaching the networks just how 'dumbed down' we want our programs.)

I really hate the stupid ads that they put on the screen while you're watching a movie or television show now. bang head
as if they don't have enough commercials anyways.

I get what your saying! Seeing Peter Weller (Robo-cop) on some of the shows about ancient Roman history on past History Channel shows is pretty cool. They list him as a professor at Syracuse Univeristy (I think its Syracuse)

I don't think I've sat down to watch a TV show in a year.

I'll watch sports -- but I don't schedule my day around it.
If anything, I'll make sure I can hear it on the radio.

Other than that, I just read a book, surf the interwebs, or play with the cats while the girlfriend watches TV.

The 12 episode seasons during the writers strike annoyed me. I hate tv, but have gotten into Dexter.
