that is a bummer

there is a really gross looking dead grackle sort of bird floating in my neighbor's pool

........the neighbor whose dog savagely killed our cat

I found the bird in my back yard and took a shovel and catapulted it over the fence

...........and I heard the splash

I did this in honor of Mr. Pooh....and will continue to do so

Thanks, all - it was quite unexpected as she'd been the healthiest and most trouble-free of all the menagerie (now reduced over a rough past year down to one dog & two chickens), and she had just turned nine on the first of the month, so should have had a lot of years in front of her.

Anyway, I appreciate the support. She was a good, quirky little soul, and she leaves behind a way bigger hole in our home than you'd expect from a seven pound furball.

 Grin

I saw a similarly marked little guy (or gal) at the vet recently, up for adoption.

I thought briefly about a fourth, but a house can only have so much fuzz.  Undecided
