We call one of the cats "Pee Assistant" because he always runs for the bathroom if me or my wife head in there.

JM

My mother had a cat that would do the same thing. After a couple of months of this cat following her to the bathroom and watching her pee, she was awakened one night by the sound of someone peeing. Which was weird, since, you know, she lived alone at that point. So she gets up to investigate, baseball bat in hand, and she turns on the light in the bathroom only to find Jamal (the cat) hanging her butt over the seat taking a leak in the toilet.

Longcat got a haircut tonight. Every few months I break out the beard trimmer and shear away tons of extra belly and side fur. It really cuts down on hairball/blarg surprises. There's a quarter in there for scale. The pile is about 3" deep.

^^ That looks like the amount of hair I had to cut off the Himalyan's azz so she didn't have anymore dingleberries hanging.
Loved that cat but that was disgusting!    Tongue

Bad situation. Tongue

I thought the cat had a swollen gland on it's azz but turned out to be a grey turd.  That happened twice the first week we had her and then I decided it would get it's butt shaved..permanently.

We said a sudden, sad farewell to our black cat Yang this morning at around 3:45 a.m.; she woke us up crying at around 3:00, and our dog Fluffy & Yang's sister Yin were both whining and agitated as well. Yang was outside our bedroom door laying on the floor & couldn't move her back legs. We called the emergency line at the vet's office, and he met us there about half an hour later. His diagnosis was a blood clot that had moved from her heart to the arteries in her legs, with little or no hope of treatment. There really wasn't anything to do but say good bye and comfort her and each other the best we could while he prepared the syringes.

She could be an ornery little cuss with a stunning array of allergies and strong, loudly argued opinions on a variety of topics, particularly about how little she cared for the pricey, low-allergen cat food that was the only thing she could keep down. Of all the pets in the household - including the 100 lb. husky mix dog - she was clearly the alpha in the house. She could also be incredibly affectionate, with a huge personality for a little seven pound critter. We're going to miss her terribly.
