For everything BUT a phone it rocks! But it drops 70% of all calls!

I have far less dropped calls with my iphone than I did with my treo or tilt. I am in DFW. 70% dropped in ridiculous

Just checking, but do you have the latest firmware? Apparently there was an issue with 3G power consumption wherein the phone would take request higher power from the tower than it should, so if there were a number of iPhones in an area they'd suck up all the power on a tower and cause dropped calls.

I guess the other problem is if there's enough other people in your area with old firmware that are causing you issues.

Also, if you're on the border of a 3G area, I'd turn the 3G off to avoid switching between towers.

Water would not be the only thing to run from that town.


Only place that makes it look good is bakersfield.


Btw-I got a regular old phone without all the fancy geegaws and gadgets you kids use nowadays-and it works just fine

Its not the phone...  it is ATT's 3G coverage in your area.  Switch to Edge and you will be fine... plus it will save your battery.  Switch to 3G when you are going to do web surfing, etc.  Hopefully ATT will increase your coverage in your area... I know COlorado has gotten a lot better in the last few months.
