it's never really done, is it?   Wink  i had the bike almost two years before i got to ride it, but it was worth the wait.

the foggy ducati is a decal that's cleared over.

i'll post up some more pics later...   waytogo

no you're right magnus...never done   Cheesy

my bike is currently at Pro Italia getting it's 18k servicing (part of the deal i managed to squeeze out of them). only thing i'm installing at the moment is a 39t sprocket for the rear and that's really all i can afford at the moment. the PO has informed me that there is a yoyodyne slipper clutch he installed awhile back but it's currently  locked in...he also told me i might want to adjust the cam timing a touch.

looking forward to the pics and thanks for helping this thread with your inspiring Foggy...

Magnus,  Was the bike wrecked before they tried to do the SSS conversion or was it wrecked because of the conversion, I can't remember all the details from when you picked it up.  The bike now is of coarse tits!! waytogo

Thanks guys!

MonsterMan1036, good question...  the first I saw the bike, it looked just like that pic, so I assume the bike was wrecked at least partially because of the misguided SSS conversion.  The chain was all over the swingarm and the upper shock pivot was a disaster.  Basically it looked like a couple dudes got drunk and then decided to ravage a Foggy.  It was dropped on both sides, so whomever had it previously really beat the hell out of it.

By the way, your bike is pretty sick.  The power must be sweet...  I see that Jason of the Dept of Suspension did your forks, how do you like them?  Just got mine back from him.  As a matter of fact, we have alot of similar components, although your has some things that I wish I had...  BST wheels, nice.  Are you the original owner of your bike?

And take some new pics if you can, we'd like to see that swingarm!

Which kit did you have Jason put in? I had him put in the one just below the super bike kit. With the forks kitted they feel R&T's (or better) and totally transforms the way it handles. I think you'll be more than happy. The stock forks were a total mismatch with the amount of power the bike is putting out.

I bought the bike from Phil Barone (that was an experience Roll Eyes), he had the motor work done and the BST's put on. The bike is far from how I purchased it and as you know never done. Next up is a fuel cell and in the winter I going to pull it apart for powder coating/ paint (want to get a more cohesive color scheme).

edit

Did Mark say how much the frame gussets stiffened the frame?

I will try and get some pics tomorrow.

i got the same kit... i haven't ridden it much yet with the "new" forks, but looking forward to it.

ah, i thought it looked familiar, especially with all the engine work...   did he throw in a sax mouthpiece with the purchase?   Wink  we're glad a bike like that fell into the right hands now.  with all that power your next mod should be a chute, like the dragsters have.

the gussets stiffened the frame a bit, for sure.  and they also look cool... a dual-purpose mod, and a unique mod at that.  most people look at the bike and just assume that the gussets are stock i guess, only a sharp eye recognizes it.
