hey monsterman,

great stuff man! could you give us your impressions of the new swingarm? unless of course you haven't had enough seat time on it yet...

but in any case, were you able to just plug and play or did you have to modify anything connecting to the frame? but i'm guessing nothing as involved as fitting that 996 SSS like magnus did. after seeing yours and magnus' swingarms, i'm really, really diggin the cleaner and sportier look.

but for your larger displacement engine it was probably a practical decision to have an upgraded suspension system, no?

Had shitty weather this weekend and had some work to do on my other bikes, no new ride report. bang head

The Moto Corse swing arm is a direct swap, the only thing is you may have to adjust your ride height, because the escentric for chain adjustment will affect it. I still need to raise the rear a little more to get it back to 1" over stock in the rear, I'm also going to drop the front around 2mm.

Yes, it was a practical decision on the suspension. I think that having the suspension set to you and your riding style is the most important mod you can do.

Did you decide what your doing with your mod budget yet?

Is this who I think it is???

What will the pods get me?
Not sure who you think it is but probably the same person.   chug

Pods= less weight + cooler look (subjective) and same hp.
easy mod.  Get filters, remove air box, cut or mill your velocity stacks, reinstall stacks with pods.  Only downside is the rush of intake noise  that any hooligan should enjoy.

Come June a new monster motor is being built.  St4s+1000 crank+ 506 cams + MBP 916 heads + Motocreations exhaust = S4X

I still have the foggy.  I tried to sell at one point but nobody wanted it so taking it to the next level.  Mark S.  has it right now for some part fitting and mock ups.  Engine is for the bike.  Should be fun when done.

As you guys already know, I'm a HUGE Foggy fan.

I came across this over on Speedzilla and almost threw up. Then I saw that he put them on a Foggy, and I did throw up!!!!!  vomit

Check it out: http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/ducati-monster/44122-2002-ducati-monster-s4-swingarm-extentions.html#post481311

Someone should hunt this guy down and beat him to death!!!

monsterman,

i wish the stock swingarm wasn't so damn ugly because for my 140lb frame it does an adequate job. but for now i'll be upgrading to some penske's for the rear and race tech revalve for the forks. i'm still deciding on what to do with the beer tray and what mirrors but the MM ears are really starting to be an eye sore  Tongue. so i'll be replacing those ASAIC.

i did get my 18k servicing completed. the guys at Pro Italia did a great job IMO. so my valves are done, all fluids changed including brake fluids, new rear pads, fuel filter, sync'd TB's and replaced one flaking rocker. also, i had the belts replaced along with the chain.

i put a new sprocket on the front (it was worn) and went from a 37t to a 39t for the rear. this has made a big difference in the lower range. the bike feels even better in the twisties and roll ons are pure heaven!
